Epcon Communities Residents Enjoy First-Ever Alaskan Cruise |

Twenty-six residents and guests of Epcon Communities, a leading homebuilding developer and franchise operator based in Dublin, Ohio, recently enjoyed the first-ever residents' cruise, an Alaskan cruise that set sail from July 19 through July 26, 2008. |
The "Epcon Communities 2008 Alaskan Cruise for Residents" was open to all Epcon Communities residents nationwide and their guests and was the first of a planned Annual Residents' Travel Experience program.
Guests embarked on Holland America Cruise Line's ms Oosterdam for a spectacular experience complete with an extraordinary level of service and outstanding accommodations. The cruise departed from Seattle, Wash., for Juneau, Alaska, followed by a day at the renowned Hubbard Glacier. The next port of call, Sitka, is one of Alaska's most beautiful seaside towns, encompassing the rich cultural experiences of the Tingit Indians with the area's unique Russian heritage. The cruise proceeded on to Ketchikan, Alaska's "first city", and finally docked in the charming provincial capital of Victoria, B.C. before heading back to Seattle.
Throughout the cruise, the Epcon Communities attendees were treated to exclusive receptions and group dinners, allowing them to dine and socialize with their fellow Epcon Communities residents from across the country.
"The cruise offered the unique opportunity for residents to bond with one another. They came from different backgrounds and different communities across the U.S., but the residents share a common interest in Epcon Communities and the advantages of community lifestyle," said Nanette Overly, vice president of sales and marketing services with Epcon Communities. "One of the perks of maintenance-free living is the ability to pick up and travel on a moment's notice, and this cruise was a reflection of that lifestyle."
In addition to serving as a customer rewards program, the company hopes to introduce the Epcon Communities lifestyle to a wider audience whose own lifestyles might match those of their existing residents.
