Country Inns & Suites By Carlson Celebrates Grand Opening Of 450th Property In Savannah Historic District, Ga. |

Country Inns & Suites By Carlson Inc., the mid-tier lodging brand of Minneapolis-based Carlson Hotels Worldwide, today announced the opening of its 450th hotel. The landmark hotel, located at 320 Montgomery Street in Savannah Historic District, Ga., offers a prime location within walking distance to all of Savannah's historical treasures. |
The grand opening ceremony of the new 101-room Country Inn & Suites hotel in Savannah Historic District will be attended by the brand's Executive Vice President of Franchise Operations, Steve Mogck, Hash Patel, president of Tara of Savannah LLC, the owner of the hotel, General Manager Andrew Collins and members of his staff. The hotel is managed by Tara Hospitality Corp.
"The opening of our 450th hotel is a major milestone in our company's history," said Mogck. "Over the past 21 years, Country Inns & Suites evolved from a new concept created by Carlson to become a brand leader in the mid- tier segment of the lodging industry with more than 35,500 rooms in the Americas, Europe and India."
"The Country Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District hotel exemplifies the brand's high quality product and service standards and marks our fifth location in the Savannah area and 39th location in the state," Mogck added. "All of the hotel's employees will participate in the Country Inns & Suites 'Be Our Guest' service training program to ensure consistent delivery of quality customer service at our hotels."

The hotel features an indoor pool, well-equipped fitness room and valet laundry service. Other amenities include a complimentary hot continental breakfast, a 70 person capacity meeting room with a 60-inch wall-mounted plasma flat screen TV and built-in audio system, and two boardrooms. The hotel offers a variety of guest rooms including standard king rooms, standard double queen rooms, and one bedroom king suites. All rooms feature complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, hair dryer, 32" flat screen television, microwave and refrigerator.
The Country Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District is nearby to all the attractions Historic Savannah has to offer. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Historic River Street, the City Market, the Savannah Civic Center, the Savannah College of Art and Design, and the Savannah History Museum. The Country Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District is also in close proximity to historical forts, golfing, and the beaches of Tybee Island.
